01Wire we buy

Five families of wire and cable, one buyer

We are narrow on purpose: electrical wire and cable only. That is why we can read a jacket legend and price a partial reel instead of calling it scrap.

02How selling works

Four steps, no obligation until you agree

Nothing moves and nothing is charged until you accept a quote and a pickup plan.

  1. Send the details and photos

Use the quote form with what you know: type, size, metal, voltage, footage or reel count, condition and location. Photos of the reel tag and jacket legend do the heavy lifting.

  2. We review the material

We read the tags, compare the construction and condition against what is actually usable, and come back with questions if something is unclear rather than guessing.

  3. We discuss pricing and logistics

You get a number for the lot and a plan for moving it — pickup at your site, a combined route, or shipping for smaller quantities.

  4. Pickup or shipping is arranged

Once terms are agreed we schedule the pickup or the freight, coordinate site access, and confirm what is being loaded before anything leaves your yard.

03What surplus looks like

The material we see most often

Partial spools of THHN building wire in assorted colors on warehouse racking

Partial reels, cancelled orders and warehouse clear-outs

Most surplus wire is not one dramatic find. It is a dozen ordinary events: a job that needed 3,000 feet and bought 3,500, a feeder replaced during a turnaround, a discontinued color a distributor wants out of the rack, a service upgrade on a farm that left half a reel of URD.

We buy those lots as they are — mixed, partial, dusty, still banded, or already on a pallet in the corner of a shop. What we ask for is honesty about condition, and photos clear enough to read the tags.

  • New surplus and unused overstock with tags intact
  • Cancelled-project and descoped material, often full reels
  • Partial reels and spools with readable footage
  • Warehouse, factory and distributor inventory being cleared
  • Clean used or pulled cable that is declared as used

04Who sells to us

Built for Wyoming businesses, not garage sales

Contractors, distributors, plants, utilities and farms hold the material worth quoting. Every audience below is a description of who typically has surplus, not a claim about a specific company.

05Wyoming coverage

We buy wire located anywhere in Wyoming. These are the corridors where most of it sits.

Southeastern Wyoming

Southeastern Wyoming combines the state capital, the university, the I-80 freight corridor and a growing concentration of data centers and light manufacturing.

07Questions

The things sellers ask first

What kinds of electrical wire do you buy in Wyoming?

Copper and aluminum building wire (THHN, THWN, THWN-2, XHHW, XHHW-2), bare and insulated copper, MC and AC cable, tray and VFD cable, control and instrumentation cable, low-voltage and communication cable, flexible cord and welding cable, and medium and high voltage cable from 5kV up. We do not buy transformers, switchgear, breakers, MCCs, generators, machinery, vehicles or general scrap.

Do I need to know the exact footage before I contact you?

No. Exact footage helps, but a photo of the reel tag or the printed jacket legend plus an estimate is enough for us to start. If the footage is unreadable we will tell you what we would need to confirm it.

Do you charge for a quote or for looking at photos?

No. Sending details and photos costs nothing and does not commit you to anything. We review the material, tell you what we can offer, and the decision stays with you.

Do you pick up, or do I have to ship?

Either can work. For larger lots we usually arrange pickup at your site in Wyoming, and for smaller lots shipping or a combined route may make more sense. Logistics are agreed before anything moves.

Can you buy a single partial reel?

Sometimes, but it often is not economical for either side once travel is counted. Send it anyway — if it belongs with a larger lot or a nearby pickup we will say so, and if it is not worth a trip we will say that too.

Is any of this an offer to purchase at a published price?

No. Everything on this site describes what we buy and how the process works. We quote each lot individually after seeing the material, because condition, footage, construction and location all change the number.
