Tray and VFD cable
Tray cable and VFD cable are industrial materials bought against a specific drive or tray schedule.
Wire we buy
SOOW cord, portable cord and flexible control cable get cut into short lengths for temporary power, pumps, heaters and equipment drops. The leftovers are usually partial coils that still have real value.

01Overview
Flexible cable is built with finely stranded conductors and a rubber or thermoplastic jacket so it can move without cracking. SOOW and SEOOW portable cord, SJOOW for lighter duty, flexible control cable and welding cable all fall in this group.
The most common surplus is 250-foot and 500-foot coils, opened and partly used. Because these cables are bought for temporary and mobile equipment, they are also the most likely to be oil-soaked, sun-cracked or missing a jacket section — which we need to know before quoting.

03Details
For flexible cable the jacket condition is the value. A clean 250-foot coil of 6/4 SOOW that spent its life indoors is worth quoting seriously; the same coil left on a flatbed for two years with sun-checked jacket is a much weaker lot. Photograph the jacket where it bends and the printed legend along the run.
Welding cable, temporary power cord and pump cable show up in fabrication shops, mines, farms and construction trailers. Coils that are still factory-tied and labelled are the easiest to place.
Cartons of pre-cut cords and assemblies are welcome when the labels are readable. Loose, unlabelled short cut-offs are generally not worth quoting unless they come as part of a larger lot.
04Questions
Sometimes, if it is clean and the jacket is intact. Used flexible cord is priced as used and needs to be described that way in the form.
We can usually identify gauge and conductor count from the jacket print or by measuring. Send a close photo of the jacket legend and one of the coil end and we will tell you what we can confirm.
05Request a quote
Tell us the size, metal, voltage and footage, and attach photos of the tags. If something is unknown, leave it blank and describe it in the notes.
Send the reel details and photos. We will tell you what the lot is worth and how a pickup would work.
